Eligibility & Requirements
ELIGIBILITY:
1. Must be a full-time student nominated by a partner university throughout the exchange period.
2. Education Requirements:
- Undergraduate level:At least 14 years of education, including the first 2 years of undergraduate studies.
- Graduate level: At least 16 years of education, including a Bachelor's degree.
3. Language Proficiency (Undergraduates):
- Sufficient Japanese language skills required(JLPT1).
REQUIREMENTS
1. Host lab:
You need to find a host lab to join the exchange. It is very important for you to have a clear idea of your research theme and to know which lab you want to join before applying in order to have a productive and fulfilling study. 2. Exchange period:
You need to stay at the Univeristy of Tokyo from the beginning of semester to the end of the exam. (ref: Academic Calendar)
3. Course Restrictions:
You are NOT allowed to take any classes outside of School/Faculty of Engineering except from Graduate School of Information Science and Technology for Graduate level students. (ref: Course Restrictions)
4. Credit Transfer:
You need to understand ECTS-Credit transfers if your home school is party to the Bologna Process. About credit transfer in general, please contact your home university.
5. Student Visa:
You must obtain a Student Visa before entering Japan.(ref: CoE Application)
6. Medical:
You need to maintain good health while studying. Since the University of Tokyo offers you a medical check-up after enrolment, you should take the opportunity and be responsible for your health. 7. Application:
