Tuition fees must be paid to your home university - not to the University of Tokyo - while you are studying as an exchange student. Students are responsible for all other local costs while in Japan, such as rent, food, and bills.

Exchange students are given priority for placements in the school dormitories. However, there is always a slight possibility that no accommodation will be available. In that case, we will help you to find alternative accommodation, such as a private apartment.

Undergraduate level students are not allowed to take graduate level lecture classes.

With regard to Credit Transfers, please consult your home university, because these are their responsibility.

*** Undergraduate level: 14 years of education (including first two years of undergraduate studies) must be completed by the time of entry to the EAP program. Graduate level: 16 years of education (including completion of a Bachelor's degree) must be completed by the time of entry to the EAP program.
